Anti-blemish Herbal Combo Facial Sauna

For treatment of prone to blemish skin.  Use the following herbal mix sauna recipe twice a month. Use two parts horsetail, two parts lupine seed, one part lady’s mantle and one part lamb’s quarters.

Note from previous post on how to mix herbal sauna:

You will need a shower cap or small towel to protect hair, large towel, an enamel or pyrex pot and herbs.

The procedure is easy.

1. Place 2 large spoonfuls of your herb mixture in a large enamel or pyrex pot with 3 to 4 cups of water. Cover the pot and bring to a boil over med heat.  Turn down the flame and let the mixture simmer for five to 10 minutes. Remove pot from the heat, leaving cover on.

2.Place the pot on a trivet in front of you. Cover your hair with a shower cap or small towel and drape the large towel over your head and the pot to trap the escaping herbal steam.  Uncover the pot.  Keep your eyes closed, and allow your face and neck to soak in the steam for 10-15 minutes.Use the trapped steam to deep clean your face.  The sauna opens up your pores and help skin release trapped dirt and grime that may evade ordinary cleaning.

3.Steam face one to two times a week. Procedure takes up to 20 min.

After your facial sauna close your pores with  an herbal splash. Your face should feel sparkling clean, fresh and glowing.  To finish off this treat for your complexion properly, relax for an hour or so. Lie down with your feet raised, and place some cumber slices on your closed eyes.  When you awake, you will feel refreshed and invigorated.
