KILGORE, TX (KLTV) – Talk about a milestone! An East Texas woman celebrated her 104th birthday!

Family and friends serenaded Opal Thelma Bostick with a happy birthday song. Bostick was born in 1906, and worked for years as a nurse at the Gregg Home for the aged. Now, she lives there.

Bostick says she’s living and loving life. In fact, Bostick still sings her favorite kitty song that she adores, and she even sang it for us. “Kitty came home, Kitty came home, Kitty came home…but he got a whipping!” sang Bostick. “Ha…ha…he stayed out to late.”

Bostick says she can’t wait until her next birthday. Another fine fact about Bostick is that she drove her car until she was 97-years-old.
